We don't want our referral partners to become salespeople. We want them to become storytellers.
Over more than a decade I have performed thousands of weight loss procedures, and I have learned something that no marketing campaign can replicate: the person who convinces someone to finally take this step is almost never a doctor. It is a friend, a sister, a coworker who went through it first and is willing to answer the hard questions honestly.
That was already happening on its own. Patients came back with their families, and nobody was thanked for it. This program simply makes it formal: you share your experience, we take care of the medicine, and both you and the person you refer receive something for it.
You will never be asked to give medical advice, recommend a procedure or discuss pricing. Every clinical question goes to our team, where it belongs. Your job is the part only you can do, which is telling the truth about your own journey.

On paper, Cervantes Bariatrics is a bariatric and metabolic surgery practice. In practice, what brings people here is something harder to put in a brochure: they are treated one to one, by name, by a team that answers when they write at eleven at night before their flight.
There are no batches of patients here. Each person has their own history, their own fear and their own reason for finally deciding, and that is how their care is planned. That is the part your friend will thank you for, long after the weight is gone.

What counts as a referral
The program is simple, but a few conditions decide whether a referral is credited to you. Read them once before you start sharing your link and you will not have surprises later.
- Referrals are tracked only through your personal link. If someone contacts us and mentions your name, there is no way for the system to credit you.
- New patients only. Anyone who was already in contact with our team before your referral does not qualify.
- The reward is earned once the surgery is completed, not when the deposit is paid. Cancellations and no-shows do not generate a commission.
- Commissions are paid monthly, within 15 days after the month closes. Your payment details live in your referral portal.
- Do not change your referral code. Every link you already shared would stop tracking, and those referrals cannot be recovered.
- The reward is not retroactive and cannot be combined with other offers.

Fill out a short form with your name, email and phone. Minutes later you receive your personal referral link and access to your portal, in English or Spanish.

Send it by message, post it, or hand it to someone who has been asking you questions for months. Anyone who opens it and fills out our form is tracked to you automatically.

We take it from there
A coordinator contacts them, answers every medical question and walks them through surgery. Your $100 is earned the day their procedure is completed.
You never hand us anyone's personal data
This matters, so it is worth being explicit. We will never ask you for your friend's email or phone number, and there is no form here where you type someone else's information. You share a link; the person decides whether to use it and enters their own data if they do.
Your own information is used only to run the program: to identify your referrals, calculate your commissions and send you your payments. It is never sold or shared with third parties.
Anyone who contacts us through your link is a patient of the practice from that moment on, and their medical information is confidential. You will see how many referrals and commissions you have in your portal, but never their clinical details. Full detail is in our program terms.

How much do I earn per referral?
You earn a fixed commission of $100 USD for each new patient who successfully completes their bariatric surgery after booking through your specific referral link.
What incentive does the patient get?
To encourage them to use your link, referred patients receive a complimentary bariatric nutrition package (an $80 USD value) waiting for them at the clinic on the day of their surgery.
When do I receive my payout?
Commissions are paid post-surgery. All surgeries validated during a calendar month are paid within 15 days after the end of that month via the payment method registered in your portal.
Am I supposed to answer medical questions?
Absolutely not. Your role is simply to share your authentic experience as a patient. The Cervantes medical team handles all consultations, pricing, scheduling, and clinical questions.
